MOBERLY, MO. — Orscheln Products celebrated its 80th anniversary by honoring the people whose ingenuity and dedication have shaped the company since 1946.
Orscheln’s story began with the family’s Missouri dance hall business, where Al Orscheln was inspired in the late 1930s to develop an over-center parking brake. That invention led to the founding of Orscheln Brake Lever Manufacturing Company in Moberly in 1946.
“Today we continue that same tradition of solving customers’ problems,” said Jeff Jones, President of Orscheln Products.
The anniversary celebration recognized the generations of employees whose hard work has carried Orscheln from its first invention to the company it is today. It was also an opportunity to look ahead.
“So as we honor our past, we also look to our future with confidence,” said Mark Miles, President and CEO of Orscheln Industries.
Proud of its Made in USA roots, Orscheln is grateful to the people behind its first 80 years and looks forward to building the next chapter together.
